March 26, 2001 Billy Bell ODESSA Billy Ray Bell, 64, of Odessa, a building contractor, died Saturday March 24, 2001, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Mike Vestal officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born in Santa Anna and moved to Odessa in 1974. He was an Army veteran. SURVIVORS: Wife, Jean Bell of Odessa; sons, Randy Ray Bell and David Howard Bell, both of Odessa; mother, Myrtle Bell of Odessa, brothers, LeeRoy Bell of Odessa and Don Bell of Bethany, Okla.; sisters, Lula Duncan and JoAnne Pitman, both of Odessa; and four grandchildren. Ladell Ellis ODESSA Ladell "Slim" Ellis, 84, of Odessa, a roustabout, died Feb. 24, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rosehill Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell presiding. He was born in Odessa. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Son, John Ellis of Odessa; daughters, Barbara Ellis of Dove Canyon, Calif., Jan Topper of San Ramon, Calif.; brother, George Ellis of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Irene Blevins of El Paso; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Ted Henderson MARATHON Ted L. Henderson, 84, of Marathon, a rancher, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Robert Lee. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Marathon Cemetery with the Rev. David Cook officiating. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home. He was born in Menard and lived in Marathon much of his life. He was a military veteran. SURVIVORS: Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Martha McCarver-Crosson SNYDER Martha Gayle McCarver-Crosson, 66, of Santa Ana, a homemaker, died Friday, March 23, 2001, in Abilene. Services will be 10 a.m. today at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Miller Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery. She was born in Snyder. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Son, Cary Coffee of Snyder; daughters, Debra Jones of Odessa, Kim Phillips of Dumfries, Va., and Penni Coffee of Brady; mother, Mary Belle Cary of Brownwood; sisters, Mary Lou Taylor of Tempe, Ariz., and Pat Cloud of Austin; and seven grandchildren. Ruby Neves SNYDER Ruby Lois Neves, 65, of Snyder, a retired secretary, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in her residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Culwell and Miller Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. She was born in Fisher County and had lived in Snyder since 1965. She was Baptist.
