Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Geeslin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home. He was born in Shafter and was a longtime resident of Alpine. He was Catholic. Cynthia Akina CARLSBAD, N.M. Cynthia Lou "Cindy" Akina, 42, of Odessa, manager of Mamas Kitchen Restaurant, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Hospice House. She was born in Carlsbad, N.M., and had been a resident of Mountain Home, Idaho, before moving to Odessa. She was Baptist. Vell Huntley ODESSA Vell V. Huntley, 68, of Odessa, a retired construction worker, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Hospice House. Verda McAdams ODESSA Verda Beatrice McAdams, 86, of Midland, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Terrace West Nursing Center in Midland. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Church of God with Martin Kehler and Paul Jones officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Beaver, Okla. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. She was born in Beaver and moved to Midland in 1971. She was a member of the Church of God.
