     PECOS Jesus Casillas Jr., 44, of Pecos, a driller, died Saturday,
                      April 28, 2001, in Aurora, Colo.
                                      
      Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic
   Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Rosary will be said at
     7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at
         Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
                                      
     He was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. He was Catholic.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Brenda N. Casillas of Pecos; sons, Jesus Casillas III
     of Fort Carson, Colo., Joshua Casillas and Bryan Casillas, both of
   Pecos; brothers, Tony Casillas of Aurora and Robert Fuentes of Pecos;
    sisters, Paula Casillas of Decatur, Ga., Angie Casillas of Oklahoma
    City, Grace Casillas of Champagne, Ill., and Lily Bersosa of Odessa;
               and grandfather, Bernardino Galindo of Pecos.

    ODESSA W.H. Colclasure, 68, of Odessa, a retired oilfield roughneck,
                   died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, in Odessa.
                                      
      Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial
   Gardens with the Rev. Dick Brown officiating. Arrangements by Frank W.
                         Wilson Funeral Directors.
                                      
    He was born in Flora, Ill. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
                              He was Baptist.
                                      
    SURVIVORS: Son, Ronald Colclasure of Odessa; daughters, Rhonda Gayle
    Canon and Billie Joyce Jones, both of Odessa; sister, Betty Robinson
        of Odessa; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Bobbie Layton
                                      
    ODESSA Bobbie P. Layton, 84, of Odessa, retired owner of Odessa Plan
            Room, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at her residence.
                                      
     Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home
     Chapel with the Rev. Russ Hale officiating. Burial will follow at
    Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
                                      
                She was born in Mobeetie. She was Christian.
                                      
     SURVIVORS: Daughters, Guyneth Stanford of Marina, Calif., Ila Ray
   Stanford and Patsy Layton, both of Odessa; sisters, Rose Curcuruto of
    Austin and Sena Ray Brownlee of Pecos; five grandchildren; and eight
                            great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Jack McCutchen
                                      
   VAN HORN Jack R. McCutchen, 73, of Van Horn, retired rancher and owner
    of a livestock trucking company, died Monday, April 30, 2001, at his
                                 residence.
                                      
   Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Fatima Church
   with the Rev. Alfred Villanueva officiating. Burial will follow at the
     Van Horn Cemetery. Arrangements by Van Horn Memorial Funeral Home.
                                      
   He was born in Robert Lee and was a resident of Van Horn for 61 years.
                              He was Catholic.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Cecilia McCutchen of Van Horn; son, Randall McCutchen
     of Deming, N.M.; daughters, Sellen Grote of Riesel, Kaye Perry of
    Granbury, Sandy Maloney of Pleasanton, Calif., Pam Watley and Becky
   Watley, both of Van Horn; sister, Cleo Carr of Monahans; brother, T.C.
            McCutchen of Robert Lee; 10 grandchildren; and five
                            great-grandchildren.
                                      
                                John Sturgis
                                      
     ODESSA John E. Sturgis Jr., 73, of Odessa, a retired truck driver,
   died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at Terrace West Nursing Center in Midland.
                                      
     Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial
    Gardens with Bill Taylor officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly
                               Funeral Home.
                                      
    He was born in Las Cruces, N.M. He was an Army veteran of World War
                                    II.
