     CORINTH, Miss. J.B. Crum, 76, of Odessa, a retired employee of an
     industrial supply company, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, in Atkins,
                                    Ark.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with
     the Rev. James Wooley officiating. Burial will be at Tippah Shiloh
     Church Cemetery in Ripley, Miss. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral
                                   Home.
          He was born in Corinth, Miss., and had been a resident.
     SURVIVORS: Brothers, Troy Crum of Ripley, S.L. Crum of Atkins and
                      Orvile Crum of Burnsville, Miss.
                                Bill Garrett
                                      
     FORT STOCKTON Bill R. Garrett, 77, of Fort Bragg, Calif., retired
      owner and operator of a service station in Anaheim, Calif., died
                    Sunday, June 3, 2001, in Fort Bragg.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Fort Stockton Methodist
     Church. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Fort
                           Stockton Funeral Home.
   He was born in Iowa Park and had been a resident of Fort Stockton. He
                    was an Army veteran of World War II.
    SURVIVORS: Wife, Jean Garrett of Fort Bragg; daughters, Annett Lehan
     of Fort Bragg and Dotti Gillis of Sandy, Utah; son, Bud Garrett of
   Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Ione Smith of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and
                             a great-grandson.
                              Mattie Kimbrough
                                      
    SNYDER Mattie Kimbrough, 86, of Snyder, a retired sales clerk, died
            Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home
    Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Rex Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at
    the Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
                She was born in Glen Rose. She was Baptist.
      SURVIVORS: Sons, Terry Kimbrough and Wendell Kimbrough, both of
    Odessa; sisters, Thelma Ford of Snyder, LouElla Looney and Anna Bell
           Stewart, both of Groveton; four grandchildren; and six
                            great-grandchildren.
                                Maria Ponce
                                      
   MIDLAND Maria C. Ponce, 87, of Midland, a homemaker, died Sunday, June
                         3, 2001, at her residence.
    Services will be at 9 a.m. today at Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home Chapel
   with David Baca and Roberto Rivera officiating. Burial will follow at
       Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
      She was born in V. Zaragosa, Mexico, and had been a resident of
              Stanton and Lamesa. She was a Jehovahs Witness.
   SURVIVORS: Sons, Jehu Ponce of El Paso and Ardiel Ponce of Michoacan,
   Mexico; daughters, Elisa Cornejo of El Paso, Emelia Sanchez of Lamesa,
   Ruth Garcia of Stanton and Dina Espinoza of Midland; 11 grandchildren;
                        and two great-grandchildren.
                             Millard Smallwood
                                      
      BURNET Millard Woody Smallwood, a self-employed carpenter, died
                      Sunday, June 3, 2001, in Burnet.
      Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeland Hills
        Memorial Park. Arrangements by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
                          He was born in Winters.
                          SURVIVORS: None Listed.
                                 John Story
                                      
       SEMINOLE John Bruce Story, 93, of Denton, a retired water well
     contractor, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Carriage House Assisted
                             Living in Denton.
      Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gaines County
   Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. David Moore officiating. Arrangements
                           by Boyer Funeral Home.
    He was born in Comanche and had been a longtime resident of Seminole
    before moving to Denton a year ago. He was an Army veteran of World
                                  War II.
      SURVIVORS: Daughter, Mickey McCarter of Denton; and a grandson.

    ODESSA Valerie Anderson, 53, of Odessa died Monday, June 4, 2001, at
                               her residence.
        Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

      MIDLAND Ralph Sears, 85, of Odessa died Sunday, June 3, 2001, in
                                  Midland.
