He was born in Fabens and was a lifelong resident of Monahans. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Emma Montgomery-Anderson KERMIT Emma Montgomery-Anderson, 103, of Alpine, a retired employee of the U.S. Parks and Wildlife Service, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at a local nursing home. Ben Sears ODESSA Ben Sears, 85, of Odessa, retired assistant manager of Sears Grocery Store, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, in Midland. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Craig Martindale officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in Plain Dealing, La., and was a resident of Odessa since 1947. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Presbyterian.
