June 19, 2001 D.W. Blackwell RANGER D.W. Slim Blackwell, 89, of Midland, retired owner and operator of Blackwell Mobile Home Supply in Odessa, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at his residence. Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Alameda Cemetery near Ranger. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home. He was born in Chaney and had been a resident of Odessa. He was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Cindi Matheny of Tulsa, Okla.; sons, David Blackwell of Midland and Bill Blackwell of Springdale, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Truman Goss SEMINOLE Truman Harty Goss, 85, of Seminole, a retired oilfield worker and farmer, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at M.S. Doss Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Bates officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines County Cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home. He was born in Winnsboro and moved to Seminole in 1960 from Post. He was Pentecostal. SURVIVORS: Wife, Dorothy Goss of Seminole; sons, Doyle Goss of Seminole and Charles Goss of Lexington, Okla.; daughters, Geneva Belongia of Post, Joyce McNew of Andrews and Linda Morris of Seminole; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Augustine Phenix KERMIT Augustine Sassy Phenix, 58, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Kermit Healthcare Center in Kermit. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kermit Cemetery with the Rev. H.A. Bowens officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel. She was born in Rosebud and was a resident of Kermit for 48 years. She was Baptist. Howard Wall KERMIT Howard N. Wall, 72, of Kermit, a retired service station owner, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
