                            Pilar Arredondo Sr.
   ODESSA Pilar Arredondo Sr., 89, of Odessa, retired owner of La Fiesta
              Bakery, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, in Odessa.
   Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church
   with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7
      p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
                   Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
      He was born in Lampazos, Mexico, and was a lifelong resident of
                          Odessa. He was Catholic.
      SURVIVORS: Daughters, Rosie Torres of Lubbock, Maria Narvaiz of
      Midland and Grace Ornelas of Odessa; sons, Gonzalo Arredondo of
   Lubbock, Albert Arredondo of Slaton, Jesse Arredondo, Sergio Arredondo
     and Jay Paul Garcia, all of Odessa; sister, Cecilia A. Guerrero of
          Laredo; 31 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 10
                         great-great-grandchildren.
                                F.B. Dodson
    ODESSA F.B. Dodson, 70, of Odessa, a retired employee of TU Electric
            Co., died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at his residence.
   Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens
   with the Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly
                               Funeral Home.
       He was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Odessa in 1950 from
          Monahans. He was an Air Force veteran. He was Methodist.
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Juanita Dodson of Odessa; sons, J.P. Dodson and Jimmy
               Dodson, both of Odessa; and two grandchildren.
                               James Goodwin
    ODESSA James Jim Anthony Goodwin, 58, of Odessa, chief appraiser and
      executive director of the Ector County Appraisal District, died
            Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
     Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church
     with the Rev. Michael A. Jasper officiating. Burial will follow at
   Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
   He was born in Sherman and was a resident of Odessa since 1979. He was
                           an Air Force veteran.
     SURVIVORS: Wife, Pamela Blair Goodwin of Odessa; daughters, Tonya
    Jowitt of Collinsville, Joan Johnson of Longmont, Colo., and Melissa
    French of Alexandria, Va.; sister, Rebecca Young of Juneau, Alaska;
                          and five grandchildren.
                               Norene Morgan
   SAN ANGELO Norene Morgan, 89, of Miles, a retired schoolteacher, died
     Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Baptist MemorialsCenter in San Angelo.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Johnsons Funeral Home with the
   Rev. Eddie Tingle officiating. Burial will be at the Miles Cemetery in
               Miles. Arrangements by Johnsons Funeral Home.
          She was born in Miles and had been a resident of Odessa.
                        SURVIVORS: Numerous cousins.
                               Ethel Williams
     FORT STOCKTON Ethel Jean Williams, 89, of Fort Stockton, a retired
      registered nurse, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at her residence.
   Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at East Hill Cemetery with
      the Rev. Ernie Wagner officiating. Arrangements by Fort Stockton
                               Funeral Home.
   She was born in Rotan and was a resident of Fort Stockton since 1964.
                             She was Methodist.
    SURVIVORS: Daughters, Jean Frink of Tulsa, Okla., and June Nowlin of
          Fort Stockton; sister, Edith Heron of Fort Stockton; two
                   grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
                                Joe Johnston
    DALLAS Joe Johnston, 82, of Odessa died Thursday, June 28, 2001, in
                                  Dallas.
          Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home.
                               James OConnell
    EARLY James D. OConnell, 82, of Early died Wednesday, June 27, 2001,
                             at his residence.
            Services are pending with Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
