    DENVER CITY Velda Lou Dorethy, 78, of Denver City, a retired office
             assistant, died Friday, July 20, 2001, in Lubbock.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church
    with the Rev. Darren Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at the
    Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral
                                   Home.
                 She was born in Godley. She was Methodist.
    SURVIVORS: Son, Gene Dorethy of Denver City; daughters, DeAnna Rasco
    of Muleshoe, Kathie Littlefield and Candy Tate, both of Denver City;
   sisters, Maxine McGregor of Grapevine and Jean Mayes of Lubbock; eight
               grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
                              Isidro Ronquillo
   FORT STOCKTON Isidro Ronquillo, 61, of Fort Stockton, a mechanic, died
            Friday, July 20, 2001, at Midland Memorial Hosptial.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Josephs Catholic Church with
   the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at the Catholic
      Community Cemetery. A rosary will be said today at 7 p.m. at St.
              Josephs. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
          He was born in Coloņa Esperaza, Mexico. He was Catholic.
      SURVIVORS: Sons, Oscar Ronquillo of Olton, Elias Ronquillo, Saul
      Ronquillo, Jose Ronquillo, Rogelio Ronquillo, all of Denver, and
     Thomas Ronquillo of Fort Stockton; daughters, Sylvia Urias of Fort
      Stockton, Yadira Ortiz of Fabens and Martha Ronquillo of Coloņa
     Esperaza; brothers, Ernesto Ronquillo of Ojinaga, Mexico, Gilberto
     Ronquillo of Fort Stockton, Juan Ronquillo of Santa Elena, Mexico,
    Oscar Ronquillo of Midland and Sergio Ronquillo and Julio Ronquillo,
       both of Uylesses, Kan.; sister, Eva Varela of Andrews; and 14
                               grandchildren.
                                 A.R. Subia
   ANDREWS A.R. Pops Subia Jr., 65, of Andrews, an oilfield worker, died
            Friday, July 20, 2001, at Permian General Hospital.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Andrews
     with the Revs. Ruben Rodriquez and Ted Short officiating. A prayer
    service will be said at 7 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel.
                    Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
   He was born in Big Lake and moved to Andrews in 1971. He was Baptist.
     SURVIVORS: Wife, Elida Subia of Andrews; sons, Rene Subia and Andy
   Subia, both of Andrews; daughter, Sylvia Rampone of Andrews; brothers,
    Ismael Subia of Odessa and David Subia of Big Spring; sister, Elisa
                  Gonzales of Bane; and 11 grandchildren.
                                      
                            Celestino Valenzuela
     EL PASO Celestino Tino Valenzuela, 89, of Alpine, a retired movie
       projectionist, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at his residence.
    Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Bliss National
     Cemetery. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of
   Peace Catholic Church in Alpine with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. A
      rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Geeslin Funeral Home.
                   Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
                  He was born in Alpine. He was Catholic.
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa Valenzuela of Alpine; sons, Tino Valenzuela Jr.
   of El Paso and Robert Valenzuela of Alpine; daughters, Armida Spurlock
   of Los Angeles, Rosemary Hernandez and Valerie Parra, both of Andrews,
       and Nora Valenzuela of Albuquerque, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; 20
            great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
                              Mary Bortzfield
   CRANE Mary Bortzfield, 85, of Crane, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at
                         Midland Memorial Hospital.
          Services are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
