August 16, 2001

   Douglas Dorris
   ALPINE  Douglas Michael Dorris, 73, of Alpine, a retired self-employed
   electrician, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at his residence.
   Memorial  services  will  be at 3 p.m. Friday at Geeslin Funeral Home.
   Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
   He  was  born  in Marathon. He was an Army veteran of World War II and
   the Korean War.
   SURVIVORS:   Wife,   Dianna   Dorris  of  Alpine;  three  sons;  eight
   grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   Grace Owen
   BIG SPRING Grace L. Owen, 80, of Big Spring, a homemaker, died Sunday,
   Aug. 12, 2001, at her residence.
   Services  were  at  2  p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church with the
   Rev.  Drs.  Randy  Cotton and Claude Craven officiating. Burial was at
   Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral
   Home.
   She  was  born  in Thrift and was a resident of Big Spring since 1957.
   She was Baptist.
   SURVIVORS:  Sons,  Eddie Owen Jr. of Odessa and Henry Owen of Midland;
   daughters,  Edna  L.  Owen  and  Sandy Wright, both of Big Spring, and
   Loretta  Owen  of  Graham;  sisters,  Mattie Sue Brooks and Lena Marie
   Entrop,   both   of  Wichita  Falls;  seven  grandchildren;  and  five
   great-grandchildren.
