She was born in Claremore, Okla., and was a resident of Fort Stockton since 1957. She was Baptist. Carol Denton MIDLAND - Carol Renee Denton, 58, of Midland, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at a local hospital. She was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, and was a resident of Midland since 1975. She was Mormon. John Griffith ODESSA - John R. Griffith, 78, of Odessa, a retired employee of Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, in Garland.
