Maria Chavez
FORT STOCKTON - Maria Chavez, 83, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at Fort Stockton Nursing Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Stockton Catholic Community Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Pablo Chavez, Margarito Chavez and Ben Chavez, all of Fort Stockton; daughter, Angelica Garcia of Midland; brothers, Remijio Ramos of Fort Stockton, Nicanor Ramos of San Angelo and Lorenzo Ramos of Seminole; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Beldon Hukins Sr.
HOBBS, N.M. - Beldon J. "Frenchie" Hukins Sr., 72, of Hobbs, N.M., a retired employee of Eunice Well Service, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs.
Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Helena Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis Fountain officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
He was born in Bunkie, La. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, B.J. "Joe" Hukins Jr. of Hobbs and Brady J. Hukins of Amarillo; daughters, Karen Owens and Pam Turner, both of Hobbs; brothers, Herman Hukins of Larose, La., A.M. Hukins of Lafayette, La., Kenneth Hukins and Livingston "Livy" Hukins, both of Bunkie; sister, Marguerite Varnado of Bunkie; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Myrtle McClure
MIDLAND - Myrtle Markham McClure, 96, of Midland, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at Trinity Haven Nursing Home in Midland.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Camden, Tenn. She was Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Charles E. Patteson of Midland, J.H. McClure Jr. of Trinity and Phillip Blair McClure of Salt Lake City; daughter, Jane Patteson Baker of Odessa; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Gloria Murray
ODESSA - Gloria Murray, 61, of Odessa, a teacher's aide, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, in Odessa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeil officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Lott and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Roy Murray of Odessa; daughter, Katina Sneed of Dallas; stepson, Greg Murray of Lubbock; mother, Bennie Truesdale of Lott; brother, T.L. Truesdale of Oakland, Calif.; sisters, Ola Mae Scott of Lott, Velma Campbell of Odessa and Darlene Hollins of Cypress; and eight grandchildren.
