Chessie Carr
ODESSA - Chessie Marie Carr, 88, of Odessa, a retired retail employee, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Alkire officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Paducah. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Royce Carr of Odessa; brothers, Mac Tucker of Childress and Jimmy Tucker of Seymore; sister, Mozelle Gibbs of Paducah; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Jose Heredia Sr.
MONAHANS - Jose Alfredo Heredia Sr., 45, of Monahans, a heavy machine operator, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Monday at Harkey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Artesia, N.M., and was a lifelong resident of Monahans. He was an Army veteran. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Jose Alfredo Heredia Jr. of Bakersfield, Calif., and Paul Juan Heredia of Lubbock; daughter, Bruna Dolores Ramsey of Midland; mother, Christina Heredia of Monahans; brother, Lorenzo Heredia Jr. of Dixon, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

Nellie Newcomb
IMPERIAL - Nellie Borron McDurmon Newcomb, 92, of Imperial, a retired teacher, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in Stanton.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the "Old" Community House. Burial will follow at Imperial Cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Butler, Miss. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Patsy Six of Plains, Glenda Akins of Stanton, Ronnie McDurmon of Shermon, Marsha McDurmon of Odessa and Gerry King of Odessa; stepsons, Jim Newcomb of Oklahoma City, Okla., Robert Newcomb of Guthrie, Okla., Charlie Newcomb of Skiatook, Okla., Donny Newcomb of Yukon, Okla.; stepdaughter, Anita Myers of Bethany, Okla.; 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Adele Westcott
ODESSA - Adele Aureta Westcott, 80, of Odessa died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Oelwein, Iowa. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Paul Westcott of Odessa.

Beau Hendrick
PECOS - Beau Jack Hendrick, 58, of Pecos died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.
Services are pending with Pecos Funeral Home.
