Thelma Elrod
ROTAN - Thelma Claudine Elrod, 88, of Rotan, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, in Rotan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Rotan with Dutch Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Belvieu Cemetery. Arrangements by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
She was born in Linden. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, A.L. Elrod of Odessa; daughter, Kathleen Bennett of Rotan; sisters, Reba Stone of Maud, Clara LeFan of Texarkana, Eloise Woodall of Kemp, Nadine Hardage of Redwater and Helen Rainey of Mesquite; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Dominga Garcia
ODESSA - Dominga Sandoval Garcia, 73, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Hillary Ihedioha officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Bishop. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Guadalupe Garcia of Fort Worth; daughters, Maggie Isaacson and Rose Barrera, both of Mesquite, Beatriz Lewis and Josie Miller, both of Odessa; brothers, Julian Sandoval of Selma, Calif., Alonso Sandoval of Midland and Antonio Sandoval of Dybol; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Clyde Marler
BURNET - Clyde Madison Marler, 81, of Burnet, retired owner of A1 Tank and Trucking Inc. in Kermit, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Burnet.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Post Mountain Cemetery. Arrangements by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. 
He was born in San Saba and had been a resident of Kermit before moving to Burnet. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Son, Clyde James Marler of Kermit; daughters, Carolyn Twinkle Leftwich of Odessa, Rosemary Churchwell of Midland and Pat Woods of Bertram; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Gary McCurry
LUBBOCK - Gary Wilk "Budda" McCurry, 53, of Lubbock, owner of McCurry and Sons in Lubbock, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, in Lubbock.
Memorial services were at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oakwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Corey Ross officiating. Arrangements by White Funeral Home.
He was born in Lamesa and moved to Lubbock in 1966 from Yokahama, Japan. 
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sheridan Ann McCurry of Lubbock; sons, Christopher Wilk McCurry and Stephen Reginal McCurry, both of Lubbock, and Marvin Michael McCurry of San Marcos; mother, Bobbie Lavern McCurry of Odessa; and brother, Glenn Eric Dunn of Austin.

Manuel Rubio
FORT STOCKTON - Manuel M. Rubio, 82, of Fort Stockton, a retired employee of Firestone in Fort Stockton, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Marfa. 
SURVIVORS: Son, Wally Rubio of Fort Stockton; daughter, Angelita R. Castellano of Odessa; brothers, Catarino Rubio of Odessa, Pilar Rubio and Jose Rubio, both of Warland, Wyo., and Ramon Rubio of Madera, Calif.; sisters, Alvina Rodriguez of Bakersfield, Calif., Edelmira Rodriguez of Gilroy, Calif., and Margaret Charles of Alton, Mont.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
