October 29, 2001 Grady Acuff LAMESA - Grady Acuff, 94, of Lamesa, a cotton gin owner and operator, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Covenant Lakeside. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Branon Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Hackett officiating. Burial will follow at Lamesa Memorial Park. Services under the direction of Branon Funeral Home Inc. He was born in San Angelo and was a resident of Lamesa since 1951. He was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Son, Royce Acuff of Lubbock; daughters, Rosemary Hambrick of Odessa and Kay Kitts of Round Rock; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Helen Haynes COLEMAN - Helen Virginia Dean Haynes, 84, of Gardendale, a former bookkeeper, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trickham Union Church in Coleman with the Rev. James Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Trickham Cemetery. Services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Ana. She was born in Coleman County and moved to Gardendale in 1997. She was Methodist. SURVIVORS: Sons, Roy Haynes of Daingerfield, the Rev. Jesse Haynes of Fairfield, the Rev. James Lyndon Haynes of Waco and Weldon Haynes of Dallas; daughters, Ginger Graham of Gardendale, Kay Hays of Austin and Mary Bordeaux of San Francisco; brother, Ray Dean of Brookesmith; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
