Charles Broughton
KIMBLE COUNTY - Charles Heartsill Broughton, 76, of San Antonio, a retired teacher and rancher, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at VNA Hospice Inpatient Care Center in San Antonio.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Broughton Ranch. Arrangements by Aubrey Fife Funerals.
He was born in Brownfield and had been a resident of Odessa. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Ernie Broughton of Boerne; and a granddaughter.

Manuela Chavez
PECOS - Manuela Chavez, 89, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Flores officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Barstow Cemetery in Barstow. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Candelaria and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Esperanza Abila of Barstow, Eustolia Martinez of Chicago, Hortensia Jimenez of Laredo, Eva Porras of Ozona, Maria Juarez and Yolanda Gonzales, both of Pecos; brother, Antonio Porras of Los Angeles; sisters, Liza Jasso of Carlsbad, N.M., Elia Contreras and Socorro Bustamantes, both of Midland; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Angel Gonzales
PECOS - Angel Josue Arenivas Gonzales, an infant, was stillborn Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Hayes Medical Center Hospital in Hayes, Kan.
Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. George Vasquez officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Oscar and Rosario Gonzales of Pecos; brother, Oscar Nathaniel Gonzales of Pecos; and grandparents, Antonio Gonzales and Eugenio Arenivas, both of Pecos.

Tom Halfacre
HOUSTON - Tom C. Halfacre, 59, of The Woodlands, a real estate developer, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Lakewood Church with Daniel Kelly officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Green Lawn Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Breckenridge and had been a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rowan Halfacre of The Woodlands; son, Vaughn Halfacre of Kerrville; daughter, Mysti O'Dell of Plano; and five grandchildren.

Autumn Upchurch
ODESSA - Autumn Faith Upchurch, an infant, of Odessa died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Jenny Upchurch of Odessa; and grandparents, James and Barbara Upchurch of Odessa.

ODESSA - Ronny Armstrong, 47, of Odessa died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at his residence.

ODESSA - Earnest "Dad" Carr, 82, of Odessa died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at his residence.
