John Abbott
ODESSA - John B. Abbott, 26, of Odessa, a salesman, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Charles McIntyre officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Father, Joe Abbott of Odessa; mother, Susan Royal of Santa Fe, N.M.; sisters, Sunny Bennally of El Paso and Laura White of Dallas; and grandparents, Jack and Marion Murray of Dallas and Smittie and O.B. Abbott of Mineral Wells.

Vera Brown
LUBBOCK - Vera Mae "Babs" Brown, 87, of Lubbock, a retired piano teacher, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marisue Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
She was born in Graham and was a resident of Lubbock for 47 years. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Wayne "Tramp" Brown of Lubbock; daughters, Teena Brown of Ava, Mo., Betty Jane Johnson of Odessa and Billi Barrera of Corsicana; and five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Marie Roberts
MARATHON - Marie Roberts, 76, of Marathon, a retired administration employee at Marathon schools, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Marathon Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Brunk officiating. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was born in San Antonio and moved to Marathon in 1936. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Marshall Roberts of Marathon; son, Jim Roberts of Marathon; daughters, Donna Davis of Pecos and Marsha Roberts of Midland; brother, Loyd Martin of Alpine; and seven grandchildren.

Alex Romero
LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Alex E. Romero, 51, of Odessa, a car sales manager, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in Tucson, Ariz.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with the Rev. John Tickle officiating. Arrangements by Heather Mortuary.
He was born in Las Cruces, N.M., and was a resident of Odessa for 11 years.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Evangelina Romero of Odessa; sons, Alex Romero Jr. of California, James Andrew Romero and Richard Anthony Romero, both of Tucson; daughters, Kris Romero and Angela Romero, both of Tucson; stepsons, Javier Del Hierro and Paul Del Hierro, both of Odessa; parents, Bernie S. and Dora E. Romero of Tucson; sisters, Louise Cavatta of Santa Fe, N.M., and Tinamarie Hutchinson of Tucson; and brothers, Fernando Romero and David Romero, both of Tucson, and Raoul Romero of Austin.
