January 13, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Ida Lee Hancock SAN ANGELO Ida Lee Hancock of Odessa and formerly of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, in Odessa. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 13, 2001, at Johnsons Funeral Home Chapel in San Angelo with the Rev. Jim Stevens of Sonora officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Ida was born March 23, 1920, in Erath County to Ida and Lee Farmer. She married James Clifton Hancock on Dec. 16, 1937, in Rotan. She was the wife of a minister and was always very active in the church and all of the activities. At the time of her death she was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church in Odessa. Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her husband May 2, 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Young and husband Paul of Odessa; three grandchildren, Freddie John Davis Jr. and wife Angela of Copperas Cove, James Matthew Davis of Dallas and Holland Dawnielle Turner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two great-grandchildren, Kitiara Skie Davis and Hunter Scott Davis; a brother, Charles Farmer and wife Jean of Oklahoma City; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joe Lane, Jamie Parker, Bill Savell, Smith Neal, Barton Massey and J.W. Sutton.
