February 12, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ [INLINE] Elizabeth Earnest ODESSA Elizabeth Earnest was born Aug. 30, 1902 in Junction City, Ark. to John and Viola Griffith. She died on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001 at Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Earnest was raised in Junction City, Ark. She met and married her husband, Cecil Elmer Earnest in 1925. He preceded her in death in 1970. Throughout their marriage, they lived all around Texas and New Mexico. Her lifes work was her devotion to her family. As a child, she went to school in a horse and buggy. In her high school, she played basketball and would travel to the games by train. She was a Presbyterian by faith. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with interment at 2 p.m. in the Kermit Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell of Home Hospice officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
