March 05, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ [INLINE] Juan Jasso Juan Leyva "Papo" Jasso, 72, of Odessa, a laborer, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilberto Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. Viewing and visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Rocky Jasso, John Jasso, Jessie Jr. Jasso, Jamie Del Bosque, Henry Gonzales, Eduviques Jasso, Miguel Angel Arroyo and Ralph Carrillo. Mr. Jasso is survived by his wife, Esther Olivas Jasso, of Odessa; sons Johnny Jasso, Sesario Jasso and Jesse Jasso of Odessa; daughters Lina Subia, Diana Ramirez, Tammy Jasso and Norma Mancha of Odessa; sisters Sofia Jasso and Angela Arroyo of Chihuahua, Mexico; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Jasso was preceded in death by his parents, Sesario and Jovita Leyva Jasso. He was a special husband and wonderful father not only his kids and grandkids, but also a special friend to many.
