April 13, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Billy Holliman ODESSA Billy Holliman, age 36, of Gardendale died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 21, 1965, in Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Preston Weatherly officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Holliman married Bobbie "Josie" Poe on Sept. 16, 1994, in Odessa. His occupation of choice was truck driving. His favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting and golf. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gene Holliman. He is survived by his wife, Josie Holliman of Odessa; mother, Darlene Chambers and stepfather, Arnold of Odessa; grandmother, Velma Holiman of San Marcos; brothers, Mike Holliman and wife Desi of Odessa and Dennis Rambo and wife Jane of Midland; sisters, Linda Moreland and husband Steve of Midland and Shari Abe of McKinney; uncle, Clayton Holiman of Longview; and his aunt, Francis Mitchell of San Marcos. He is also survived by a loving family-in-law, Bobby and Delma Poe of Odessa, TJ and Susan Poe of Odessa, Derrick and Barbie Pierson of Albuquerque, N.M., Cory Poe and his fiancee Diann of Dallas and Dedra Poe of Odessa, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be Darrell Hogan, Chris Hiller, Eddie Newton, Derrick Pierson, David Poe and Joey Poe. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
