May 04, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Bobbie P. Layton ODESSA Bobbie P. Layton, 84, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at her residence. She was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Mobeetie. Mrs. Layton married James M. Layton on Feb. 25, 1940, in Friona. He preceded her in death. She was former owner of the Odessa Plan Room. She was past president of Women in Construction and past national president of Women in Construction. She was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church. Survivors are her daughters, Guyneth Stanford of Marina, Calif., Ila Ray Stanford and Patsy Layton, both of Odessa; sisters, Rose Curcuruto of Austin and Sena Ray Brownlee of Pecos; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russ Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
