May 16, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Margaret Eldred Frankson ODESSA Margaret Eldred Frankson was born Jan. 14, 1919, to Margaret and Grover Eldred in Scio, N.Y. She passed away May 12, 2001, in Austin where she resided for eight years. She married Floyd Walter Frankson, previous deacon at St. Marys Catholic Church, April 4, 1941. They were married 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, and two grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Harmon and William Evan David. She is succeeded in life by her children, Peter Frankson of Odessa, Judith Lee David of Columbia, Penn., and David Frankson of Gatesville; sisters, Aloine Thorp of Austin, Bettie Lee Yerka of Ithaca, N.Y., and Ruth Henderson of Jamestown, N.Y.; grandchildren, Vincent Frankson and wife, Cherie, Sara Frankson of Conyers, Ga., Mike, Jim and Jack David of Columbia, Penn.; and great-grandchildren, Bernadette Marie Frankson and Jennifer Lynn Harmon. Margaret was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church since 1959 until she moved to Austin. During the years her husband Floyd was a deacon at St. Marys, Margaret was the coordinator of the churchs evening catechism classes for the youth of the parish. She had also worked for Dr. George F. Peer. This was followed by working for a period of time at Odessa Medical Centers oncology unit. Margaret was a wonderful wife, great mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her and a pretty darned good golfer and bowler, too! Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2001, at St. Marys Catholic Church. Viewing will be today and Thursday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
