May 17, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Lewis D. Holloway ODESSA Lewis D. Holloway, 76, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at his home. He was born March 26, 1925, in Vivian, La. He married Marie Laden on Feb. 3, 1946, in Mount Pleasant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Gulf Oil Co. He was a member of the Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Don Holloway; sister, Lurline Robertson; and parents, A.R. and Ada Marie Holloway. He is survived by his wife, Marie Laden Holloway; son, Gary Dale Holloway and wife Katherine of Odessa; six grandchildren, Gary James Holloway of New Braunfels, Joseph Patrick Holloway of Tempe, Ariz., Lori Lynn Holloway of Ballinger, Brian Scott Holloway, Jennifer Michelle Holloway and Brandon Nichols Holloway, all of Odessa; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Holloway and Dylon James Holloway, both of New Braunfels, Coleton Charles Dellaughter of Ballinger, Justin LaRoque Holloway and Faith Briann Holloway, both of Odessa. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, May 17, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Roy Smalling officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2001, at the Nevills Chapel Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
