   Richard Hiram Porter
   ODESSA Richard Hiram Porter, age 84, of Odessa died Tuesday, May 22,
   2001, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Dec. 7, 1916, in Ensign,
   Kan., to William Lewis and Hettie Lena Porter.
   Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today, May 24, 2001, at
   Crescent Park Baptist Church with the Revs. Barry Owens and Dr. Johnny
   Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial
   Gardens.
   Mr. Porter married Lois Collins on Dec. 7, 1935, in Graham. He served
   in the Army during World War II and moved to Odessa from Andrews in
   1978. He retired from Amoco after 37 years of employment.
   He is survived by his son, Mike Porter and wife Carolyn of Eldorado;
   daughter, Shirley West and husband Buddy of Odessa; brother, Leon
   Porter of Odessa; grandchildren, Richie West, Lori Bennington and Ami
   Satterwhite, all of Odessa, Carisa Porter and Jason Porter, both of
   Eldorado; great-grandchildren, Kelsee West, Shelby West, Scotty
   Satterwhite, Lexi Satterwhite and Baylee Bennington, all of Odessa,
   and Morgan Porter of Eldorado.
   If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association,
   Gideons or Alzheimers Association.

   Vonnia Reathel Sanson
   ODESSA Vonnia Reathel Sanson, age 87, of Odessa died Wednesday, May
   23, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 6, 1913, in
   Marmet, W. Va.
   Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2001, in the
   chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Jess Little
   officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
   Mrs. Sanson moved to Odessa in 1997 from Baton Rouge, La. She was a
   homemaker and a member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church. She played
   the piano in church and loved her Sunday school class.
   She is survived by her daughters, Norma Jean Morris of Odessa and
   Carroll Ann Holsher of Cocoa, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three
   great-grandchildren.
