She was born June 29, 1959, in El Paso. She attended high school at Lee and Midland high schools in Midland. Victoria was sales manager at the Holiday Inn in Odessa. Victoria was preceded in death by her father, Major John William Fortner. Survivors are her husband, Tony Daniels of Odessa; mother, Juavata Jane Fortner of Midland; sons, Johnwilliam Smith and Dylan Daniels; daughters, Jessica Jade Wooten, Brittany Zayne Smith and Cassandra Daniels, all of Odessa; sister, Kathryn McHugh of Abilene; and granddaughter, Genesis Sloane Wooten. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, June 2, 2001, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 1416 W. Illinois, in Midland, with the Reverend Stockton Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park with a reception following at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Memorials may be sent to American Lung Association of Texas, 5926 Balcones Dr., Austin, Texas, 78731. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Norman M. Jones LUBBOCK Services for Norman M. Jones, 85, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. today, June 2, 2001, at Southcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. today at Andrews County Cemetery in Andrews with the Rev. Ted M. Short officiating under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. He died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Welder. As a youth, he lived in Post. He had been a resident of Lubbock since 1992, coming from Jal, N.M., where he had lived since 1970. He married Hazel Marie Wyly in 1941 in Post. She died Jan. 28, 1979. He married Nadine Allman Oct. 24, 1992, in Lubbock. He worked as a driller and pumper for Lowe Drilling Co. located in both Texas and New Mexico for 30 years. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Lynn Jones, in 1950. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Norma Fae Moore of Kermit; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle Peel of Post and Mae Hedrick of Lubbock; a brother, Hal Jones of Jal, N.M.; three stepsons, Leeroice Allman of Spring, Terry Allman of New Orleans, La., and Jerry Allman of Katy; six stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. [INLINE] Larry Don Sterling Sr. ODESSA Larry Don Sterling Sr., age 52, of Odessa died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1948, in Paris, Texas, to Gerald and Agnus Sterling. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, June 2, 2001, at Sunset Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Jess Little officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sterling came to Odessa at age 12. He worked in the oilfields for many years as a rig mechanic and a pump mechanic for several companies in the Odessa area. He married Elissa Osborn Nov. 28, 1975, in Odessa. Mr. Sterling was a member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church. He loved fishing and was a great help to many and a friend to all. He was a wonderful father to his children as well as many other kids. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald "Sonny" Sterling. Survivors include his wife, Elissa Sterling of the home; two sons, Larry Sterling Jr. and his wife Marie of Odessa and Joshua Wayne Sterling of Weatherford; a daughter, Melanie Shanee Sterling Pulliam and her husband Eric of Odessa; four sisters, Jerry Duggan and husband Billy of Weatherford, Jo Ann Sledge and husband Curtis of Odessa, Shirley Sterling of White Settlement and Sandi Sterling of Odessa; three grandchildren, Lindsay and Melissa Kinnard of Odessa and Chester Cole Pulliam of Odessa; and several nieces and nephews.
