She was born May 12, 1916, in Presidio. She married Juan G. Huerta Oct. 14, 1937, in Marfa. She was a housewife and a Catholic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan G. Huerta Sr.; son, Frank Huerta; parents, Pedro and Lupe Hernandez; brother, Pedro Hernandez Jr.; and sister, Virginia Vargas. Surviving are her four sons, all of Odessa, Sisto Huerta, Cypriano Huerta, Juan Huerta Jr. and Carlos Huerta; four daughters, Emma Betancourt of Odessa, Mary Garza of Arlington, Ramona Bonilla of Midland and Juanita Villescas of Odessa; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
