June 10, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Larry Don Sterling Sr. ODESSA Larry Don Sterling Sr., age 52, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 31, 2001. He was born Aug. 7, 1948, to Gerald and Louise Sterling. There is not enough room in this newspaper to tell you just how wonderful and caring Larry was. Larry never met a stranger. He always made you feel so comfortable when you were around him. He would brighten your day with his smile and he loved to always joke and make you laugh. Larry was the master of all trades. He was always helping someone in need. He is so loved by his wife, his children, his brothers-in-law, sisters, nephews and nieces and many, many friends. Larry touched the lives of all that knew him. The Good Lord blessed us with Larry and now he has gone home to be with his mom, dad, brother and daughter. Larry left behind so many precious memories, and he will be missed by us all. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Knighten and Margaret of Knighten Machine for all their love and support for Larry. Larry Don, May 31, 2001 Larry Don as I look at your big brown eyes, I want to grab you and hug you, and not let you die. But its out of our control and in the Good Lords hands. Will he spare you, or take you, what is his plan? As we slowly watch you slipping away, Our Hearts are broken, and we continue to pray. We cant imagine facing each day with you not around, Talking to you on the phone, or going to see you across town. Were on our knees praying every single day, Oh, Dear Lord, please dont take Larry away. They say the Good Die Young, thats not so true, We couldnt have had a brother better than you. Larry, youre so loved by family and friends, And your wife has been there for you right up to the end. We dont want to lose you, its hard to let you go, But God has a mansion in heaven for you, this we know. Larry, as I look back over the years, Theres a smile on my face as my eyes fill with tears. So as you leave this place and enter the Kingdom of love, Just remember to smile down on us from above. Love, your baby sister, Sandy Sterling. I love you. _________________________________________________________________ Billy Ray Tidwell KERMIT Billy Ray Tidwell, 74, of Manor passed from this life in Austin on Thursday, June 7, 2001.
