June 15, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Sherrill Marvin Short Watters ODESSA Sherrill Marvin Short Watters, 77, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at his residence. He was born June 28, 1923, in Alto. Mr. Watters was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a maintenance supervisor for Warton Drilling Co. and retired after 32 years of service. He was a Christian. Sherrill was preceded in death by his parents, Pop and Mom Watters; and a brother, Carl Junyer Watters. Survivors are his wife, Ruth Watters of Odessa; two sons, Carl Watters and wife Ruth of Odessa and George Watters and wife Penni of Midland; sister, Sandy McDaniel of Fairview, Okla.; aunt, Ruby Voyles of Odessa; uncle, O.B. Watters of Bossier City, La.; 12 grandchildren, Keith and Chris Hafer, Allida Ruth Watters, Elizabeth and Destiny Watters, Wayne and Goldie Watters, Robbie and Melissa Watters, all of Odessa, Stefanie Watters of League City, David and Shelly Falcon of Montel, Stephanie Seibert and Austin Seibert of Midland, Daniel and Jo Watters of Campwood and Glenn and Katrica Watters of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 12 great-grandchildren, Karlie Watters, Meagan Watters, Abbey Falcon, Preston Watters, Ozzie Marie Watters, Cres Falcon, Zane Pierce, Kayelee, Whitney, Brooke, Shelby and MacKenzie Watters; and a host of family and friends. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Wayne Watters, Daniel Watters, Glenn Watters, Austin Seibert, Keith Hafer, Robbie Watters, Stacy Wright and Gary Gresham.
