July 09, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Bill Roach ODESSA Bill Roach, 60, of Odessa passed away Thursday, July 5, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2001, at Latter Rain Worship Center with Pastor Craig DeArmond officiating. Burial is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Leaday Cemetery in Leaday. Family visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Bill was born June 24, 1941, in Snyder to Floyd and Theda Roach. He married Kay Watson Oct. 19, 1986, in Andrews. They moved to Throckmorton in 1988 where he was a deputy sheriff until 1993. He was formerly deputy sheriff in Andrews County and also in Midland County. They moved to Odessa in 1995. He worked for Lowes Grocery for more than three years until he became ill in January 1998. Pallbearers will be Rick Roach, Jerry Roach, Mark Wilson, David Fanchers, Allen Whirley, and Ray Floyd. His survivors include his wife, Kay Roach of Odessa; sons, Michael Barkemeyer of Coleman and Greg Barkemeyer and his wife Megan of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Letitia Wells of Odessa; parents, Floyd Roach and wife Velma of Odessa; mother, Theda Davis of Grand Prairie; his mother-in-law, Emma Watson of Coleman; brothers, Rick Roach and wife Andrea of Midland and Jackie Roach of Grand Prairie; sisters, Martha Fanchers and husband David of Grand Prairie and Diane Wilson and husband Mark of Odessa; brother-in-law, C.R. Dalton and wife Joyce of Coleman; grandchildren, Ashlee Wells, Cassandra Barkemeyer, Alana Barkemeyer and Justin Barkemeyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
