August 27, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Obituaries Index Carl E. Crouch KERMIT - Carl E. Crouch, 95, of Kermit went to be with his God on Friday, Aug. 24, 2001. He was born in Dallas County April 28, 1906. He was a farmer in Oklahoma, a rancher and bronco rider in southern California, a worker in Tall Timerber, Calif., a miner in New Mexico and an oil field worker in Texas from which he retired in 1968. His father and mother moved from Dallas County to Marshall County, Okla., in 1919 by wagon. He met and wed his wife Myrtle there in 1928. She preceded him in death after 70 and a half years of marriage. Also preceding him in death was his daughter Alice Thornhill of Tulsa, Okla. He is survived by his only son, Royce Crouch of Marble Falls; granddaughters, Kelly McKinney of Elkhart, Ind., Teri Evans of Tulsa, Toni Field of Rowland Heights, Calif., Cherry Severson of Banning, Calif., and Suzy Kim of Chino Hills, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at Belvue Baptist Church in Kermit with the Rev. Bobby Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Kermit Memorial Cemetery.
