September 06, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Obituaries Index Eula Pearl Waddell ODESSA - Eula Pearl Waddell, 81, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Star. She was a homemaker and a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Annie Gummelt; husband, Leonard A. Waddell; son, Leonard A. Waddell Jr.; brother, O.B. Gummelt; and sisters, Ola Mae Gummelt and Eda Reed. Mrs. Waddell is survived by brothers, H.E. Gummelt, Earl Gummelt and Billy Gummelt; sisters, Gertrude Green, Lorene Gummelt and Doris McCasland, all of Odessa; two grandchildren, Mollie Christesson of Odessa and James Waddell of Wellington; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 6, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, at Hurst Ranch Cemetery in Star. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crescent Park Baptist Church. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
