September 17, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Obituaries Index Lynn F. Moore ODESSA - Lynn F. Moore, 70, of Odessa passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at his residence. Mr. Moore was born June 7, 1931, in Coleman, Texas. He moved to Odessa in 1942 from Dallas and married Sue Massey on October 4, 1957, in Abilene. He was the owner of Mission Well Service. Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and received the following ribbons and citations: China Service, President Unit Citation, National Defense, Korean Service, United Nations, Good Conduct and Navy Occupation. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion and served on the board of directors for the Permian Basin International Oil Show. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Moore. He is survived by his wife, Sue Moore; two sons, Darrell Moore of Odessa and Robert Moore of Flower Mound; two daughters, Sandi Moore of Plano and Kari Pfeifer of McKinney; his mother, Nelle Moore of Odessa; one brother, Jesse B. Moore of Odessa; six grandchildren, Tanner Lynn Moore, Matthew Lynn Moore, Madison Gray Moore, Sarah Jamison Moore, Preston Thomas Pfeiffer and Austin Jeffrey Pfeiffer. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2001, at the Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Active pallbearers are Les King, Monnie Sparkman, John Sparkman, Jacky Sparkman, Gary Moore and David Moore. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Gloria Murray ODESSA - Gloria Murray, 61, of Odessa, a retired teacher's aide for the Ector County Independent School District, died Thursday, September 13, 2001. Gloria was born December 27, 1939, in Lott to Vastine and Bennie Truesdale. Funeral services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2001, at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, a daughter, Felonese Gamble, and a brother, N.R. Truesdale. She is survived by her husband, Roy Murray of Odessa, a stepson, Greg Murray of Lubbock, a daughter, Katina Sneed of Dallas, her mother, Bennie Truesdale, of Lott, Texas; a brother, T.L. Truesdale of Oakland, Calif., and sisters Ola Mae Scott of Lott, Velma Campbell of Odessa and Darlene Hollins of Cypress. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
