October 05, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Obituaries Index Milton Gilbert Elliott MIDLAND - Milton Gilbert Elliott, 69, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at a local hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today, Oct. 5, 2001, at Pipkin Chapel with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating and the Rev. Eddy Elliott assisting. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Gilbert was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Earth, Texas, to Alvin "Pappy" Elliott and Lucille Elliott. He married Annie Ruth Stanton on Feb. 5, 1963, in Midland. He worked for Basin Truck Repair until his death. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin "Pappy" Elliott and Lucille Skipper Elliott; brother, Edward Elliott; and grandson, Peter Gilbert Clegg. He is survived by his wife, Annie Elliott; two daughters, Dixie Ann Hulslander and Donna Lucille Elliott; and five sons, Burton Elliott, Monty D. Elliott, Samson W. Elliott, Larry Clegg and John W. Clegg. He is also survived by his sister, Vaudine Green; three brothers, Carl D. Elliott, Curtis D. Elliott and Randy L. Elliott; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Danny Elliott, Brent Elliott, Chris Elliott, David Elliott, Jeff Johnston and Ariel Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be Monty Elliott, John Clegg and Alan Hulslander. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Redwine MARSHALL - Graveside services for Jerry Redwine, 78, of Marshall, formerly of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 5, 2001, at Pendergrass Cemetery in Sidney under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Thweatt officiating. She died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at Colonial Park Nursing Home in Marshall. She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Lamesa to William Chesley Ward and Ethel Gertrude Jeffcoat Ward. She graduated from Ackerly High School in Ackerly. She married Aaron Edward Redwine on June 17, 1942, in Lamesa. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 2000. She was a cafeteria worker. She worked for the Sweetwater Independent School District, which is where she retired from. Previously, she had worked for the Big Spring Independent School District. She was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church in Sweetwater. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dewey Blevins officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at S.P.J.S.T. Cemetery in Seymour with the Rev. Friar Richard Eldredge officiating. He was born Jan. 11, 1983, in Odessa. He was a high school student and Catholic. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Henrietta Pavliska; grandfather, Roy Rusch; and brother, Bryan Rusch. He is survived by his parents, Craig and Janet Rusch of Odessa; brothers, Jason Rusch, Jonathan Rusch and Brett Rusch, all of Odessa; and grandmother, Verna Rusch of Appleton, Wis. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Drive, in Odessa. Services will be under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Clyde. Mrs. Taylor was born June 19, 1906, in Olla, La., to Edward and Leona Chapman. She married Aaron Jackson Taylor on Sept. 4, 1926, in Louisiana. They moved to Odessa in 1934 and helped start Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Spencer Taylor in 1974. She is survived by her husband, Glen Perkins of Odessa; two sons, Steve Perkins of Florence, Ky., and Ray Perkins of Odessa; daughter, Phyllis Solomon of Odessa; two brothers, Tommy Neil Bradley of Gladewater and Gene Bradley of Gladewater; and seven grandchildren.
