She was born Jan. 31, 1982, in Odessa to Antonio and Felisa Heredia. She was a Catholic. He was born on Feb. 15, 1981, in Pecos, Texas. He is survived by his son, Adam Minjarez Jr. of Odessa; mother, Angie N. Lopez of Balmorhea; father, Adan Minjarez of Balmorhea; stepfather, Felipe Lopez Jr. of Balmorhea; grandparents, Ramona and Enrique Jimenez of Odessa, Adan and Mariana Minjarez of Pecos; grandfather, Jose Nunez of Pecos; brothers, Hector Jasso of Odessa, Israel Jasso, Timothy Jasso, Leonardo Jasso, all of Balmorhea; sister, Amy Monique Jasso of Odessa; aunt and cousin, Diana and Anthony Fuentes of Odessa; uncles, Joe Rey and Marisol Nunez and family of Odessa; great aunt and uncle, Linuel and Delma Mosby of Carlsbad, N.M.; Uncle Joe and Diana Minjares and family of Pecos; uncles, Carlos Jiminez of Odessa, Antonio Fuentes of Pecos. Visitation will begin today and Monday at 11 a.m. at Odessa Funeral Home. Tuesday prayer service is at 7:30 p.m. at Asemblea Apostolica at 5533 Mapp St. in Odessa. Funeral services have been set for Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Asemblea Apostolica with the Rev. Roman Arreola officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Martinez, Cheno Hidalgo, Sammy Luna, Robert Tavarez, Jeremy Martinez and Manny Vejil. Services by Odessa Funeral Home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- William Elmore 'W.E.' Brackett MIDLAND - William Elmore W.E. Brackett, 86, of Midland, passed away in a Big Spring hospital on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001. At his request, his body has been donated to the Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, and there will be no services. Mr. Brackett was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Justin, Texas, and was reared and educated near Austin, Texas. He was married to Iris Copeland on April 20, 1940, in Mason, Texas. They moved to San Angelo in 1947. He was a member of Lake View Baptist Church. He worked for many years as an insulator for Smith Insulation and Crouch Heating and Air Conditioning before retiring. In 1999 they moved to Midland, and for the past six months he had been a resident of the Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. Survivors include his wife, Iris Brackett of Midland; two daughters, Beverly Scott and husband Doug of Midland, and Barbara Kingston and husband Jim of Odessa; six grandchildren, Carla Scott Fourqurean and husband Steve of Midland, Curt Scott of Odessa, Ronnie Anderson of Dallas, Ricky Anderson and wife Jamie of Theodore, Alabama, Lyle Kingston and wife Lori of Dallas, and Sonia Koopman and husband Cliff of San Antonio; four great-grandchildren, Davis and Ellie Fourqurean of Midland and Erin and Nicole Anderson of Theodore, Alabama; and three nephews, Carl Greenhaw of San Angelo, Eddie Tinney of Nemo and Billly Middleton of Killeen. A special thanks to the V.A. Hospital ICU staff for their excellent care and concern. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, in the Restland Cemetery in Iraan with Brother Clay Mason officiating. Arrangements are with Shaffer-Nichols Chapel of Iraan. Mrs. Porter was born on March 16, 1922, in Cooper, Texas. She had lived in Iraan since 1945. She married Carroll Troy Porter on July 31, 1938, in Colorado City, Texas. She was a seamstress and was a member of the Iraan Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Troy Porter; one granddaughter, Deborah Carol Pope; five brothers, Floyd McMillan, Ted McMillan, Jack McMillan, Curtis McMillan, and Jay McMillan; five sisters, Alma McMillan, Katie Young, Ann Bullard, Nell Badgett, and Mable Ryan. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Patricia Ann Pope and husband Jerry C. Pope, Paula Ruth Miller and husband Jackie W.
