October 18, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Obituaries Index Barbara Ann (Carter) Harper ODESSA - Barbara Ann (Carter) Harper, 56, of Odessa passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 23, 1945, in Ladonia. Mrs. Harper moved to Odessa in 1954 from Wichita Falls. She attended Blackshear High School. She was in private nursing care for 20 years. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church. She is survived by son, Ralph Moses and wife Gwen of Odessa; daughters, Melissa Anderson and husband Michael of South Carolina and Terra Kirkwood and husband Freddie of Odessa; parents, Clyde Carter of Alvarado and Louise Carter of Odessa; brother, DeWight Blair of Sherman; four sisters, Shirley Everrett of Denver, Colo., Natalie Carter of Alvarado, Alline Vaughn of Texarkana and Margie Hopkins of Odessa; goddaughters, Cynthia Hooper, Tanya Canady and Gail Roberson, all of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Hayward Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Senaido B. Pargas ODESSA - Senaido B. Pargas, 77, of Odessa passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1924, in D'Hanis. Mr. Pargas had worked for the railroad, brick factory and farming and also had worked for Jones Bros. Construction Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wright Pargas; parents, Sisto and Theleophora Pargas; brothers, Isidro, Ramon and Luterio Pargas; nephew, Alejandro Pargas; and stepdaughter, Nora Garcia. He is survived by sons, Michael Pargas and Anthony Pargas, both of San Antonio; stepsons, Glenn Lambrano of Midland, Frank Lambrano and Higinio Garcia, both of Odessa, and Hector Rey of Alpine; daughters, Emma Smith, Catalina Pargas and Dorothy Pargas, all of San Antonio; stepdaughters, Norma Enriquez of Pecos and Hilda Rodriguez of Odessa; brothers, Joe Pargas of D'Hanis, Jimmy Pargas of Roswell, N.M., and Ernesto Pargas of Pecos; sisters, Maria Tovar of San Antonio and Maria Olivia Pargas of Odessa; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Swindell officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rose Marie Aguirre ODESSA - Rose Marie Aguirre, 29, a nurse's assistant for Mission Adult Daycare, where she worked for a year, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood. Miss Aguirre lived in Odessa, where she is survived by her special friend, Jesse Munoz of Odessa; sons, Michael Fernandez of Odessa, Tre Blanco of San Angelo and Thomas Ryan Aguirre of Odessa; daughter, Ciana Kalee Aguirre of Odessa; father, Jimmy Glenn Wells of Lufkin; mother, Rose Cordova Julian of Houston; sisters, Peggy Wells of Lufkin and Sheila Cordova of Lufkin; brother, Bo Wells of Lufkin; and stepbrother, Jessie Cook of Lufkin. She was born Oct. 30, 1971, in Shreveport, La. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 18, 2001, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Hillary Ihedioha officiating.
