October 26, 2001 Permian Basin Obituaries Obituaries Index Peggy Randolph ODESSA - Peggy Randolph, age 73, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at West Oaks Geriatric Center in Houston. She was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Littlefield to Chester and Ozzy Harris. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Melvin Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Randolph lived in Odessa for 35 years before she moved to Houston. She was the manager of Odessa College Food Services until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Odessa Optimist Club, Rotary Club and First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Bigler of Houston; two granddaughters, Madison Bigler and Kelly Bizzell; and sisters, Nina Kimbell of Amarillo, Nancy Denicola of Baton Rouge, La., and Janie Fonst of Baton Rouge, La. A daughter, Carmen Brown, preceded her in death. Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. (www.wilsonfuneral.com) Sue Warren Swinney ODESSA - Sue Warren Swinney, 65, of Odessa passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at her residence. She was born April 3, 1936, in McAlester, Okla., the daughter of James and Ruby Warren, both now deceased. She graduated from Hugoton, Kan., High School in 1954. She married Bob J. Swinney on June 3, 1956, in Clayton, N.M. They lived at several locations, moving from Puerto Rico to Odessa in 1978. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She worked as a teacher's aide, teacher, secretary for Phillips Petroleum, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed her stay in Puerto Rico. She loved people and travel. She said her middle named should have been "Go." She is survived by her husband of 45 years; sons, Brent and Darren Swinney, both of Odessa; brothers, Wendell Warren of Odessa and Wayne Warren of Splendora; sisters, Sandra Lancaster of Edmond, Okla., and Sharon Cooley of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Heather and Michael Swinney; and stepgrandchildren, Jessica and Rana Myers. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
