Susana Aguirre
ODESSA - Susana L. Aguirre, 73, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Candelaria and moved to Odessa in 1959. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Carlos S. Aguirre Jr. of Odessa; sons, Conrad Aguirre, Carlos Aguirre III, Roy Aguirre and Bobby Aguirre, all of Odessa; daughters, Mary Lou Pasillas of Pecos, Mary Hilda Aguirre Santiago of El Paso and Rosemary Aguirre Santiago of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Ila Gartman
AUSTIN - Ila Faye Gartman, 77, of Bell County, a retired teacher, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, in Fort Davis.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Cook-Walden Rockwood Lane Chapel. Burial will be at Sharp Cemetery in Bell County. Arrangements by Cook-Walden Rockwood Lane Funeral Home.
She was born in Youngsport. She was Baptist.
SURVIVOR: Sister, Vera G. Haynes of Fort Davis.

Ismael Martinez
ODESSA - Ismael Martinez, 71, of Odessa, a retired janitor, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Coyame, Mexico, and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Silveria Martinez of Odessa; daughters, Armida M. Morales, Maria M. Martinez and Luz M. Carrasco, all of Odessa; sons, Armando Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Alfonso Martinez and Hector Daniel Martinez, all of Odessa; brother, Francisco Martinez of Coyame; sisters, Socorro Martinez and Hermelinda Martinez, both of Coyame, and Bacelisa Martinez of Odessa; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Curtis Mayes Jr.
ANDREWS - Curtis Mayes Jr., 56, of Albuquerque, N.M., an electrician for Sturgeon Electric Co. in Albuquerque, died Friday, March 15, 2002, in Albuquerque.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Loren officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews North Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Powderly. He was an Army veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Christie Fite of Andrews and Amy Mayes of Hennessey, Okla.; sons, Michael Mayes of Hennessey and Richard Ridenour of Honolulu; mother, Exie Teague of Andrews; brother, Ronnie Teague of Odessa; sister, Linda Tolson of Andrews; and five grandchildren.

Jim James
ODESSA - Jim James, 65, of Odessa died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
