Phyllis Boyd
ALPINE - Phyllis May Boyd, 74, of Alpine, a homemaker, died Friday, March 29, 
2002, at her home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in 
Alpine with the Rev. Michael Brunk officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove 
Cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was born in Detroit, Mich. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, J. Robert Boyd of Alpine; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren.

Pearline Elrod
ODESSA - Pearline R. Elrod, 69, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 30, 
2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. 
Donald Hetherington officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Hamlin. She was a member of River of Life Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Hoyt Willard Elrod of Odessa; sons, Willard Elrod and Thomas 
Elrod, both of Odessa and Hoyt Elrod of Crowley; brothers, Elmer Beebe of 
Kirtland, N.M.; sisters, Norma Walker of Glendale, Ariz.; and Kathy Bingham of 
Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Ovie Hubble
SEMINOLE - Ovie Pearl Hubble, 99, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Friday, March 
29, 2002, in Seminole.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Leo 
Copeland officiating. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.
She was born in Commanchie County. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bob Hubble Jr. of Seminole; daughter, Doris May of Lubbock; 
eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Linda Johnson
GREENFIELD, IND. - Linda K. Johnson, 51, formerly of Odessa, a Town & Country 
Convenience Store clerk, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at her residence in 
Greenfield.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield. 
Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Arrangements by Pasco 
Memorial Mortuary.
She was born in Shelbyville, Ind.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Randi Johnson of Greenfield, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

Dony McDonald
ODESSA - Dony McDonald, 41, of Odessa, an oilfield worker, died Friday, March 
29, 2002.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. 
Robert Lamb officiating and the Rev. Robert Lamb, Jr. assisting. Burial will be 
held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset 
Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Son, George Cox of Louisiana; father, Roger McDonald of Arlington; 
mother Glennelle McDonald of Odessa; grandparents, Max and Nadine Sykes of 
Odessa; brother, Roger Dale McDonald Jr. of Odessa; stepbrothers, James Skipper 
and Jason Skipper, both of Arlington; and sister, Dana Hambright of Odessa.

Gena Pate
ALPINE - Gena Pate, 83, of Alpine, died Friday, March 29, 2002, in a local 
hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Michael Brunk officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove 
Cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was born in Alpine. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Toni Pate Brookover of Harlingen; son, James Eugene Pate of 
El Paso; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Sara Tipton
MCCAMEY - Sara Tipton, 91, of McCamey, a retired employee of the McCamey ISD Tax 
office, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, in the Baptist Memorial Nursing Center in 
San Angelo.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Resthaven Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Coleman County. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Stepbrothers, Fred Parker of Stephenville, Jim Parker of Powell, and 
J.B. Parker of Ozona.
