Teresa Garcia
FORT STOCKTON - Teresa Pena Garcia, 89, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died 
Friday, April 12, 2002, in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with 
the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the 
church. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by 
Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Apolonio Garcia of Fort Stockton; daughter, Virginia Salazar 
of Ontario, Calif.; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Clarence Henderson
KERMIT - Clarence E. Henderson, 101, of Kermit, a retired air conditioner 
service technician, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the 
Rev. David Weyant officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Granger and was a resident of Kermit for 38 years. He was a Navy 
veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Clinton L. Henderson, Charles E. Henderson and Wesley G. 
Henderson, all of Austin; daughter, Betty L. Morris of Kermit; brother, Vernon 
Henderson of Abilene; sister, Ethel Killgore of Austin; numerous grandchildren; 
numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Beverly Hernandez
FORT STOCKTON - Beverly June Hernandez, 58, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died 
Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery 
with the Rev. Cosme Ureta officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Vernon.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Juan Lorenzo Vela Jr. of Fort Stockton; son, Ronald Hawkins 
Jr. of Granbury; daughter, Melanie Hawkins of Odessa; brother, Keith Hendrix of 
Monahans; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Juanita Kite
GAIL - Juanita Kite, 69, of Gail, a licensed vocational nurse, died Thursday, 
April 11, 2002, at Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy 
Hardman officiating. Burial will be at the Borden County Cemetery. Arrangements 
by Branon Funeral Home.
She was born in Lamesa and was a resident of Borden County for 42 years. She was 
Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Johnny G. Kite of Gail; daughter, Jackie Keene of Odessa; 
son, Johnny Dale Kite of Gail; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James Sears
PECOS - James "Jabo" Lee Sears, 87, of Pecos, a retired farmer and rancher, died 
Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with 
the Rev. Joe Fields officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Collin County and was a resident of Pecos since 1948. He was an 
Army veteran of World War II. He was Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Marie Sears of Pecos; brother, Jerry Sears of Reno, Nev.; and 
sister, Jonye Moscarelli of Houston.

Robert Evenson
ODESSA - Robert Evenson, 84, of Odessa died Friday, April 12, 2002, at the 
Hospice House.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Dolly York
ANDREWS - Dolly York, 64, of Andrews died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Permian 
General Hospital in Andrews.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.
