Jacobo Baiza
MCCAMEY - Jacobo Garcia Baiza Sr., 70, of McCamey, a retired oilfield worker, 
died Saturday, April 20, 2002, in Seminole.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Barry McLean 
officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-
Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Terlingua and was a longtime resident of McCamey. He was 
Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Mary Ann Montano of Hereford, Hermalinda B. Castillo of 
San Angelo and Deborah K. Enriquez of Hobbs, N.M.; sons, Jacobo R. Baeza Jr., 
John Baeza, David R. Baeza and Jamie R. Garza, all of Hobbs, N.M., and Michael 
L. Baeza of Austin; sisters, Sara Hinojosa and Dora Grupe, both of McCamey, and 
Maria Hernandez of Hobbs, N.M.; brothers, Antonio Baeza and Pascual Baiza, both 
of Hobbs, N.M., Epiphano Baiza of Midland and Romolo Baiza of McCamey; 16 
grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Tiodoro Enriquez
MIDLAND - Tiodoro 'Tedd' Enriquez, 58, of Midland, a retired owner and operator 
of Los Enriquez Restaurant, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Midland Memorial 
Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 
with Rev. Arturo Pestin officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
He was born in Ozona. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa C. Enriquez of Midland; daughter, Leticia Reyes of 
Midland; son, Christopher Enriquez of San Diego, Calif.; stepdaughters, Corina 
Reyes of Corpus Christi and Linda Garza of Midland; stepson, Eddie Reyes of La 
Cross, Wis.; brothers, Manuel Enriquez and Robert Enriquez, both of Odessa, 
George Enriquez, Severo Enriquez, Alfred Enriquez and Jerry Enriquez, all of 
Midland; Sam Enriquez, of Victorville, Calif., and Dan Enriquez of San Diego, 
Calif.; sisters, Connie Martinez of Pomona, Calif., and Mary Rodriguez of 
Midland; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Zadie Glass
BRONTE - Zadie Goforth Brooks Glass, 91, of Bronte died Saturday, April 20, 
2002.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. 
Jerry Speer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Marion Cemetery. Arrangements 
by Edwards Funeral Home.
She was born in Strawn.
SURVIVORS: Son, David Brooks of Odessa; four grandchildren; two step-
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Leonard Kunkel
ODESSA - Leonard Kunkel, 86, of Odessa, a retired production foreman for Texaco, 
died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dave 
Dineen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements 
by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Archer County.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Viola Kunkel of Odessa; daughter, Narita Kay Holmes of Odessa; 
son, Curtis A. Kunkel of Ruidoso, N.M.; sister, Thelma Cochran of Houston; 
brother, Harrell Kunkel of Beaumont; and two grandchildren.

Mills Purvis
DELEON - Mills Clemons Purvis, 83, of DeLeon, a farmer, died Friday, April 19, 
2002, at DeLeon Nursing Home.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harrell Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dennis 
Reeves officiating. Burial was at Grahams Chapel Cemetery.
He was born in Proctor. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Two nephews, six grandnephews and grandnieces; and seven great-
grandnephews and great-grandnieces.

Frank Short
COLORADO CITY - Frank Melton Short, 56, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his 
residence.
Arrangements are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
