L.C. Hutchison
ODESSA - L.C. Hutchison, 80, of Odessa, a retired employee of Meither Bearing Machinery, 
died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Highland and Bunche Street Church of Christ with 
Gene Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by 
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Lexington and was a resident of Odessa for more than 50 years. He was a member 
of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Beulah Hutchison of Odessa; daughters, Ruby Robertson of Houston, Marva Ross 
and Willene Washington, both of Odessa; sons, Larry Dean Sims, Lawrence A. Sims and Arthur 
Maurice Sims, all of Houston; brother, R.C. Hutchison of Midland; 24 grandchildren; numerous 
great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.


Mary Onate
MIDLAND - Mary Monserrad Onate, 35, of Midland, a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, 
at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Martin Ortega Sr. 
officiating. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today at Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home Chapel. 
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and had been a resident of Odessa. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Porfirio Onate of Midland; sons, Jerry Onate and Paul Onate, both of 
Midland; daughter, Jaci Celest Onate of Midland; parents, Gonzalo and Florentina Amezquita 
of Odessa; brothers, Jesus Manuel Amezquita, Gonzalo Amezquita Jr. and Ramon Amezquita, all 
of Midland, Jose Amezquita, Efren Amezquita, Victor Amezquita, Ruben Amezquita and George 
Amezquita, all of Odessa; and sisters, Paula Molinar, Edith Rios and Cruz Amezquita, all 
of Odessa.

Guadalupe Valenzuela 
PRESIDIO - Guadalupe "Lupe" Valenzuela, 69, of Presidio, a retired farm worker, died Wednesday, 
May 1, 2002, near Presidio.
Services will be at a later date in Ojinaga, Mexico. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Ojinaga. 
SURVIVORS: Wife, Delia Vasquez of Presidio; sons, Octavio Valenzuela of Burleson and Jose 
Adolfo Valenzuela of Ojinaga; six brothers; three sisters; four grandchildren; and a 
great-grandchild. 

Marian Mathews
ODESSA - Marian H. Mathews, 74, of Odessa died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at the Hospice House.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
