Lucy Hersha
PECOS - Lucy Hersha, 88, of Pecos, a retired maid, died Saturday, May 4, 2002, 
at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home 
Chapel. Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
She was born in Redford.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Hilda Mathis of Pecos; sisters, Connie Ahrens of Oxnard, 
Calif., Susie Somerset of Guadalupe, Calif., and Amparo Vasquez of El Paso; 
seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Lela Porter
GAIL - Lela Patton Porter, 98, of Gail, a retired teacher, died Saturday, May 4, 
2002, at Lamesa Healthcare Center in Lamesa.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gail Baptist Church with the 
Revs. Randy Hardman, Pat Ray and Richard Laverty officiating. Arrangements by 
Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
She was born in Rotan and had been a resident of Big Spring.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Clarajane Dyess of Vealmoor; 10 grandchildren; and eight 
grandchildren.

Kenneth Reynolds
MIDLAND - Kenneth Dean Reynolds, 71, of Midland, a retired businessman, died 
Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairmont Park Church of Christ. 
Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Caddo and had been a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maxine Reynolds of Midland; daughter, Tanza Brumfield of 
Midland; son, Jay Reynolds of Midland; brother, Herman Reynolds of Oklahoma 
City; and sisters, Dorothy King of Dallas and Winona Hodges of McCamey.
