Woods Sr., 70, of Big Spring, a former carpenter and oil field worker, died Friday, May 31, 2002, at the V.A. Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carroll Kohl officiating. Burial will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Arrangements by Myers & Smith Funeral Home. He was born in Montly County. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. SURVIVORS: Numerous children, sisters and brothers. James Hughes SANDERSON - James G. "Dakota" Hughes, 61, of Sanderson, a business owner and farmer, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, in Sanderson. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Sanderson with the Rev. Tom Koger officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in Lead, S.D. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. SURVIVORS: Wife, Carole Hughes, of Sanderson; son, James Hughes Jr.; daughters, Carol Lee Miller and Lisa Hughes; stepson, Alexander; brother, Kenneth Hughes, of St. Helens, Ore.; sisters, Phyllis Hughes of Salem, Ore., and Carol Mulmary of Mountain View, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
