Jesse Avila
MIDLAND - Jesse Edward Avila, 18, of Midland, an employee of A&A Roofing Co., 
died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic 
Church with the Revs. Ray Wilhelm and Jesse Guajardo officiating. Rosary will be 
said at 8 p.m. today and Friday at Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will 
be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
He was born in Stanton. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Andrea Rodriquez Avila of Midland; son, Jesse Isaiah Nathaniel 
Avila of Midland; daughter, Eliza Monique Avila of Midland; mother, Elsie 
Salinas Avila of Midland; brother, Mark Anthony Avila of Colorado City; sister, 
Laurie Lynn Avila of Midland; grand-father, Cecilio Salinas of Victoria; and 
great-grandfather, Severio Salinas of Weslaco.

Percy Ennis
ANDREWS - Percy A. Ennis, 84, of Andrews, a retired employee of Harvey's Well 
Servicing in Andrews, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Permian General Hospital in 
Andrews.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Coalgate, Okla., and moved to Andrews in 1962 from Enid, Okla. He 
was an Air Force veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Aline Ennis of Andrews; sons, Ben Ennis and Allen Ennis, both 
of Porterville, Calif., and Johnny Burdett of Fort Worth; daughter, Jean Akagi 
of Porterville; sister, Jessie Bowerman of Coalgate; six grandchildren; and six 
great-grandchildren.

Nieves Ortiz 
FORT STOCKTON - Nieves Avalos Ortiz, 76, of Fort Stockton, a retired ranch and 
farmhand, died Monday, June 3, 2002, in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Rev. Robert Mitchell officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Balconez, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Son, Nieves Ramon Ortiz of San Angelo; daughter, Cristela Flores of 
Coleman; stepdaughters, Anita Lynn Hatch of Reno, Nev., and Vicki Denise Broman 
of Sparks, Nev.; sister, Maria Angelica Esquivel of Del Rio; stepsisters, Anita 
Moreno Beloz of Acuna, Mexico, and Cruz Moreno Ortiz of Del Rio; 12 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Carole Perry
ODESSA - Carole Jean Perry, 66, of Odessa, a retired apartment manager, died 
Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. 
James Otterness officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Services.
She was born in Hillsboro County.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Tresia Newbrough and Toni Beedy, both of Odessa; six 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
