Jose Aldaz
BARSTOW - Jose 'Joe' Aldaz, 77, of Barstow, a retired city employee, died 
Friday, June 14, 2002, in San Antonio.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Out Lady of Refuge Catholic Church 
in Barstow. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Our Lady of Refuge 
Catholic Church. Burial will be at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home of Pecos. 
Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home of Pecos.
He was born in Barstow. He was an Air Force veteran. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Felicita Aldaz of San Antonio; daughters, Elizabeth A. 
Rodriguez of San Antonio and Mary Adela Aldaz of Houston; sons, Manuel A. Aldaz, 
Ruben A. Aldaz and Louie A. Aldaz, all of San Antonio; brother, Fermin Aldaz of 
Pecos; sisters, Anita Rivera of Pecos and Irene Salazar and Augustina Navarette, 
both of Odessa; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

R.C. Armstrong
BIG SPRING - R.C. "Jack" Armstrong, 78, of Big Spring, a retired technician with 
Southwestern Bell Telephone, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Scenic Mountain 
Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Memorial Park with the 
Rev. Jess Colgrove officiating. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
He was born in Cleveland County, Okla. He was an Army veteran of World War II. 
He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Lavelle Armstrong of Big Spring; sons, Barry Armstrong of 
Bastrop and David Armstrong of Austin; daughters, Susan Albertson of Anandale, 
Va., and Jan Ramos of Odessa; stepsons, Don Smith and Ed Smith, both of Big 
Spring; stepdaughter, Susan Flickinger of Trophy Club; sisters, Jean Sanderson 
of San Angelo and Shirly Airington of Noble, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.

Morris Brunette
BROWNSVILLE - Morris Haskell Brunette, 67, of Brownsville died Friday, June, 14, 
2002.
Services will be at 1 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert 
Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by 
Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Cass County. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Nadine Sykes and stepfather, Max Sykes, both of Odessa; 
brothers, David Brunette and Charles Brunette, both of Odessa and Ricky Don 
Brunette of Broken Bow, Okla.; and sisters, Glennell McDonald of Odessa and 
Stella Brunette of Amarillo.

Clay Graham
ALPINE - Clay Wilson Graham, 48, of Alpine, an employee of Roach Construction, 
died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elm Grove Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Stanton. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Laura Frances Graham of Tallahasse, Fla., and Cody Traweek 
of San Antonio; and brothers, Keith Graham of Alpine and Kelly Graham of Santa 
Fe, N.M.

D.A. Perry
ODESSA - D.A. Perry, 87, of Odessa, a retired employee of Delta Drilling, died 
Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Johnny Young officiating.
He was born in Gunsight. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jane Perry of Odessa; daughter, Prissy Wall of Dallas; son, 
John Perry of Houston; brother, Dillon Perry of Gainesville; and three 
grandchildren.

Jackie Ragland
ODESSA - Jackie Wayne Ragland, 39, of Odessa, a truck driver for Southwest 
Energy, died Saturday, June 15, 2002.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will 
follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Dimmit. He was an Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Janah Kay and Joy Ragland, both of Odessa; sons, Jaylon 
Ragland and Christopher Ragland, both of Odessa; parents, Jack and Sandy 
Ragland, both of Odessa; brothers, Jay Ragland and Keith Ragland, both of 
Odessa.

Betty Mattern
ODESSA - Betty Mattern, 76, of Odessa died Sunday, June, 16, 2002 at Hospice 
Home.
