Kenneth Avent
ODESSA - Kenneth Avent, 58, of Odessa, a retired laborer, died Monday, June 24, 
2002, at Home Hospice House.
Graveside services will be at 8 a.m. Thursday at Ector County Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Clovis, N.M., and had been a resident. He was an Army veteran of 
the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Margaret Searcy-Avent of Odessa; stepdaughter, Jana Bailey of 
Odessa; and stepson, James Bailey of Odessa.

Steven Brady
ARTESIA, N.M. - Steven "Glen" Brady, 51, of Artesia, N.M., a supervisor for 
Phillips Petroleum Co., died Monday, June 24, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. MST Thursday at West Main Baptist Church with the 
Revs. Dan Sanders and Mark Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Woodbine 
Cemetery. Arrangements by Terpening and Son Mortuary.
He was born in Hagerman, N.M., and had been a resident of Odessa. He was 
Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ann Brady of Artesia; daughters, Tammy Heard of Lubbock, Glenna 
Turner of Las Vegas and Amanda Brady of Artesia; brothers, Morgan Brady of 
Kingman, Ariz., Will Brady of Midland, Robert Brady of Kennewick, Wash., Marion 
"Pete" Brady of Ignacio, Colo., Bill Brady and John Brady, both of Roswell, 
N.M.; sisters, Ellen Dolinger of Bristol, Va., Lela Spear and Kathy Hatch, both 
of Roswell, and Barbara Wells of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Wesley Brown Jr.
ODESSA - Wesley Brown Jr., 55, of Odessa, a former construction worker, died 
Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial 
will be at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Birmingham, Ala., and moved to Odessa in 1981. He was an Army 
veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa Brown of Odessa; stepsons, Ernest Rivera of Alamogordo, 
N.M., and Raymond Rivera of Odessa; stepdaughter, Dora Rivera of Odessa; mother, 
Annie P. Brown of Birmingham; sisters, Diane Watts of Birmingham and Camilla 
King of Beltsville, Md.; brother, Victor Brown of Gambrills, Md.; and eight 
grandchildren.

Hazel Bruce
ODESSA - Hazel Leona Bruce, 94, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, June 25, 
2002, at Seabury Nursing Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial 
Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral 
Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Chicago.
SURVIVORS: Son, Don Bruce of Odessa; two grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.

Page Greene
ODESSA - Page Greene, 82, of Odessa, a retired superintendent for General 
American Oil Co., died Monday, June 24, 2002, at the Hospice House.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Wichita, Kan. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Barbara Greene of Odessa; daughter, Mary Alyson Greene Smith of 
Odessa; sister, Barbara Greene Davis of Odessa; two grandchildren; and three 
great-grandchildren.

Agnes Nix
CUMMING, Ga. - Agnes Nix, 90, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Friday, June 21, 
2002, at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sawnee View Gardens. 
Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home.
She was born in Woodward, Okla. She was Baptist.
SURVIVOR: Son, Fred Lange of Monahans.

W.T. Peacock Jr.
ODESSA - W.T. Peacock Jr., 78, of Odessa, a retired employee of Phillips 
Petroleum Co., died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Belmont Baptist Church with the Revs. G.A. 
Magee and Kerry Peacock officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 
Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Naomi Peacock of Odessa; son, Kerry Peacock of San Angelo; 
daughters, Jana Bradley and Patty Bryant, both of Odessa; numerous 
grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Bob Criswell
BIG SPRING - Bob Criswell, 81, of Monahans died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Big 
Spring.
Services are pending with Heritage Funeral Home.
