James Howard
MONAHANS - James Thomas Howard, 21, of Burnett, a trimmer for house 
construction, 
died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Fort Worth.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Monahans Memorial Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
He was born in Houston.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Sam and Jolissa Ward of Burnett and Loise Howard of Houston; 
brothers, Blake Howard of Burnett, Scott Ward of Arlington, Danny Howard and 
Michael 
Howard, both of Decatur, Ala.; and sisters, Teresa Slader and Rebecca Howard, 
both 
of Decatur.

Steven Lambert
ODESSA - Steven Lambert, 58, of Odessa, former co-owner of Stan's House of Maple 
and 
Lambert's Furniture Gallery, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, in Fort Davis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. 
Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in San Diego. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joyce Lambert of Odessa; son, Ryan Lambert of Nacogdoches; 
daughters, Kim Holcomb of San Angelo and Lynn Gazzo of Covington; stepson, 
Steven 
Miller of Humble; stepdaughter, Jody Jones of Midland; stepfather, George Utt of 
Hobbs, N.M.; sisters, Linda Martin of Odessa and Dolores McMakim of Grand 
Saline; 
three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Rosa Rivera
DUMAS - Rosa "Rosita Bonita" Lira Rivera, 81, of Odessa, a homemaker, died 
Saturday, 
June 29, 2002, in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church 
with 
the Revs. Francisco Perez and Joe Schwertner officiating. Burial will be at the 
Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements by Morrison Funeral Directors.
She was born in Spofford and had been a resident of Dumas from 1965 to 1996. She 
was 
Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Raul Rivera of Snyder, Paul Rivera Jr. of Lamesa, Ernest Rivera 
of 
Hamlin, Rolando Rivera of Uvalde, Armando Rivera of Houston and Tony Rivera of 
Perryton; daughters, Pura Rivera of Dumas, Dora Rivera of Snyder, Leticia Bernal 
of 
Perryton and Lupe Sotelo of Odessa; 37 grandchildren; and 63 great-
grandchildren.

Joel Rodriguez
FORT STOCKTON - Joel "Jack" Rodriguez, 45, of Fort Stockton, a carpenter's 
helper, 
died Friday, June 28, 2002, at Fort Stockton Nursing Center.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with 
the 
Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic 
Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Stockton.
SURVIVORS: Son, Jo Angel Rodriguez of Fort Stockton; daughter, ShaeDawn 
Rodriguez of 
Fort Stockton; brothers, David Rodriguez of Waco, Fernando Rodriguez, Billy Joe 
Porras and Mario Porras, all of Fort Stockton, and Cesilio Baiza of Hobbs, N.M.; 
and 
sisters, Norma Pinedo of Crane, Brenda Ann Tarango and Rosie Reyes, both of Fort 
Stockton.

Joe Walker
ODESSA - Joe Walker, 73, of McCamey died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Medical 
Center 
Hospital.
