Joseph Hale
MIDLAND - Joseph Hale, 43, of Midland, a hotshot driver for L&D Trucking Co., 
died 
Thursday, July 18, 2002, in Dallas.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial 
will 
be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Home.
He was born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Midland. 
SURVIVORS: Wife, Brenda Hale of Midland; sons, James Hale, Billy Hale and David 
Hale, all of Midland; daughters, SaraAnne Hale and Chrissy Hale, both of 
Midland; 
and two grandchildren.

Antonio Rayos
PECOS - Antonio "Tony" Subia Rayos, 80, of Pecos, a retired employee of J.C. 
Penney 
Department Store, died Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Reeves County Hospital in 
Pecos.
Mass will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Rosary 
will 
be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 
Greenwood 
Cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Clovis, N.M. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was 
Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Catarina R. Vasquez and Peggy Ornelas, both of Odessa, 
Julia 
Rayos and Carmela Ornelas, both of Pecos, Cecilia Mata of Fresno, Calif., and 
Gloria 
Castaneda of San Antonio; sons, Tony Rayos Jr. of Los Angeles, Frank Ornelas 
Jr., 
Reymoundo Rayos, Freddy Ornelas and Frank Rivera, all of Pecos, Robert Rayos of 
Las 
Vegas and Jose Rayos of Fresno; brothers, Angel Rayos and Steven Rayos, both of 
Pecos; sister, Rita Carrasco of Pecos; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-
grandchildren.

Jimmie Thomas
ODESSA - Jimmie Joe Thomas, 64, of Odessa, a retired oilfield truck driver, died 
Saturday, July 20, 2002, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with 
John 
Van Hoose officiating. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
He was born in Royalty. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Brothers, Tommy Thomas of Midland and Johnny Thomas of Odessa; and 
sisters, Patricia Brown of Odessa and Peggy Everett of Florence, Colo.
