Troy Denton
SEMINOLE - Troy Denton, 99, of Seminole, a retired pastor, died Saturday, Aug. 
17, 2002, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Seminole 
with the Rev. Lonny Poe officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County 
Memorial Cemetery North. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Platter in Indian Territory. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Patricia Aryain of Seminole; three grandchildren; eight 
great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Kenny Helvey
ANDREWS - Kenny Helvey, 65, of Andrews, a retired environmental specialist, died 
Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, in Midland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Andrews Church of Christ with Mark 
Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews West Cemetery. Arrangements by 
McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Jack County. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Nancy Helvey of Andrews; daughters, Laura Smith of Odessa, 
Julia Cohlmia and Valarie Emfinger, both of Andrews; brother, Frank Helvey of 
Hondo; sisters, Tommie Ames of Granbury and Barbara Hathcock of Andrews; and 
seven grandchildren.

Jerry Neitzel
ODESSA - Jerry Lee Neitzel, 64, of Odessa, a truck driver, died Saturday, Aug. 
17, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Frank W. Wilson Chapel with Melvin 
Warren officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by 
Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Grants Pass, Ore. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Margie Neitzel of Odessa; son, Mark Neitzel of Aztec, N.M.; 
daughter, Glenda "Wendy" Burrow of Garland; brother, Carl "Wink" Neitzel of 
Mesa, Ariz.; and sister, Evelyn "Jackie" Schumann of Farmington, N.M.

Darlyene Roberson
ODESSA - Darlyene "Polly" Roberson, 79, of Odessa, a retired licensed vocational 
nurse, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will 
follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Paris, Tenn. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, William Roberson of Odessa; son, Bill Roberson of Odessa; 
daughters, Judy Heslep and Claudia Roberson both of Odessa; three grandchildren; 
and four great-grandchildren.

Frances Gonzales
ODESSA - Frances Gonzales, 65, of Odessa died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at her 
residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Services are 
pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Rodney Kerr
ODESSA - Rodney Wayne Kerr, 48, of Odessa died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at 
Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
