Sarah Blair
PECOS - Sarah Blair, 97, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, 
at Hospice House in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. 
Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Memphis, Tenn. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Daniel Blair of Jacksonville and Billy L. Blair of Mentone; 
daughter, Pat Bechter of Andrews; and sister, Ester Bateman of Memphis.

Rose Brazell
MCCAMEY - Rose Brazell, 77, of McCamey, a homemaker, died Sept. 18, 2002, at her 
residence. 
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in McCamey 
with the Rev. Jodie Windbigler officiating. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols 
Funeral Home.
She was born in Lone Wolf, Okla. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Bonnie Boswell of Lake Bay, Wash.; son, Carl Absher of 
McCamey; brother, Carl Pearson Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Flora Sosbee 
of McCamey; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

Bennie Snodgrass
ODESSA - Bennie Snodgrass, 76, of Odessa, a retired truck driver, died 
Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at his residence.
No services will be scheduled.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Melonnie Johnson of Collinsville and Thelma Yates of 
Denton; brother, Willie Jack Snodgrass of Deerfield, Fla.; sisters, Ann Murray 
of Eastland, Lottie Fox of Olden and Dorothy Tracy of Mesquite; and five 
grandchildren. 

Elisa Calderon
MIDLAND - Elias Calderon, 83, of Midland, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at a 
Midland nursing home.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church. 
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home 
of Midland.
He was born in Portales Ranch.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Rita Calderon Granados and Maria Calderon Saenz, both of 
Midland; brother, Urbano Calderon; sister Rosa Hernandez of Presidio; five 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

William Grissom
ODESSA - William Donald Grissom, infant son of Craig and Lisa Grissom of Odessa, 
died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, in Odessa. 
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with 
the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral 
Directors.
He was born at Odessa Regional Hospital. 
SURVIVORS: Parents; grandparents, Betty Grissom and Mitchell Arnold, both of 
Odessa, and Rhonda Cupp of Mandeville, Wash.

Patty McPherson
ANDREWS - Patty McPherson, 62, of Andrews, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002, 
at the Hospice House in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews with 
the Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old Cemetery. 
Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
She was born in Tahoka and has lived in Andrews for most of her life. She had 
served as a teacher's aide at the Eastland school system. She was a licensed 
realtor for 22 years and had started Southwest Realty in Andrews in 1994. She 
had served on the Andrews School Board from 1989-2001 and was currently serving 
on the Andrews Ex's Association Board. She was a member of Calvary Baptist 
Church in Andrews.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jerry McPherson of Andrews; daughters, Kim Smith of San 
Angelo and Pam Horton of Andrews; father, James Terrell Carlisle of Lovington, 
N.M. brothers, Jerry and Ernest Carlisle of Lovington; and four grandchildren.

Raul Vasquez
MIDLAND - Raul Y. Vasquez, 78, of Midland, died Sept. 10, 2002, in Midland.
Services are pending with Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.
